From Adelaide's hills, Leader Cheetah tap the classic sounds of America's rural rock heritage whilst imbuing it with a vitality of their own. It calls to mind the delicate melodic tapestries of the Band and CSN, all the while executing them with the barnstorming guitar swirls of say dinosaur jnr. The band flew in legendary producer Kramer (Galaxie 500, Low) to capture in the moment performances from Leader Cheetah. He spent six months recording the record and the result is a mix of soulful upbeat rockers and some slow cooked jams.

Leader Cheetah are the first of a new crop of signings to emerge from the fabulous Spunk Records stable. Sunspot letters calls to mind the delicate melodic tapestries of the Band and CSN, all the while executing them with the barnstorming guitar swirls of say dinosaur jnr.
