Every once in a while we hear a cd by an up-coming singer-songwriter that stops us in our tracks before we pick up the phone to get them signed to Woodwork! Moray McLaren is an accomplished Scottish musician with a canny ear for catchy

songs with accessible lyrics that sound anything but throwaway. His rough recordings fell into the hands of engineer/ producer Jonathan Shakhovskoy (Patrick Wolf, U2) who suggested they make this EP which is his first release and pre-empts his forthcoming album on Lash Records. Off the back of the EP, Moray has also been asked to collaborate on a major motion picture soundtrack.

"You Make Me Feel Like a Star" has the lyrical content to make any advert work! With melting chords and a wonderfully relaxed pace it will float you up to the heavens for a magical stellar encounter. "We Got Time" sounds like Doves at their elemental best, an incessant builder with throbbing drums, a powerful call-to-arms for any relationship needing a leap of faith. It has had tons of airplay on Radio 2 from Johnnie Walker, Dermot O' Leary and The Breakfast Show whilst still managing to maintain high levels credibility.
