The Low Frequency in Stereo are a post-rock group that was founded in February 2000 in a small town called Haugesund in Norway. The music is primarily instrumental in nature like most others in the genre. While not the originators of the post-rock sound, their music is widely agreed to be a perfect example of the genre. Also sometimes referred to as one of many lo-fi bands.

They have had great success both in Norway and internationally and have played renowned festivals like Quart, Dour and South By Southwest
Senior Editor of Rolling Stone David Fricke described their concert in Austin , Texas in 2005 as "a mixture of the long solo elements in The Doors set to the raptide of Joy Division's "Transmission" with the surf guitar twang of Dick Dale."

Their third album The Last Temptation Of...The Low Frequency in Stereo Vol. 1 was recorded in Crystal Canyon, the studio of Knut Schreiner (Euroboys, Turbonegro) and Anders Møller (Euroboys), and was also produced by Anders Møller.
